The fresh beginning of another year and Spring has come to remind me that I’m another year older. It’s fitting that my birthday falls on Earth day or better yet that Earth day falls on my birthday since technically I came first. We can talk about this some other time.
Yesterday I spent much of the day searching the Web for birthday freebies. Mostly for the fun of it because I can’t envision me running to different restaurants as a way to spend my day.
Many of these birthday freebies have been around for a while but some surprised me. Not all are available everywhere. In the olden days (before the Internet) you just showed your ID and they gave you a birthday freebie at restaurants and taverns. Maybe it’s changed but I don’t see the need to list all kinds of restaurants.
I may add some more later if something pops up in my email box that I don’t have listed.
Here are a few tips to start with...
Please add some type of password/form filler to your browser if you don’t have one already. I can’t live without LastPass, it’s available on both Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome as add-ons. I don’t get near Internet Explorer so I’m not sure if you can use it there but I am sure that they have something like it.
Next, go to your email and make sure that you tag the incoming emails with “birthday freebies” or whatever works for you and have them sent straight to a folder, preferably named “birthday freebies” or something along that line or your email may get all messy. Another option that I read in another blog earlier is just to make a whole new email account for your birthday freebies.
Here is the list in no particular order:
Ben and Jerry’s Ice cream scoop
Wal-Mart, gives out a free birthday cake for a baby’s first birthday, only.
Brueggers Bagels, sends you birthday coupons and you get a bagel just for signing up too.

Buffalo Wild Wings,a post from thefrugalgirls.com says “Buffalo Wild Wings will send you a $20 coupon for your birthday celebration. They also decorate your table and you get a free cake and ice cream.
Longhorn Steakhouse, free appetizer
Academy Sports, offers a $5.00 gift card when you sign up for email. This is a good deal if you have one of their stores in your area, if not, it counteracts the $5.00 flat shipping fee.
Olan Mills, studio pictures until your child is 3 (1) 8X10, (1) 5X7 and (4) wallets plus an extra 20% off any portrait purchase.
Ace Hardware, get a coupon for $5.00 off a $20.00 purchase when you join their rewards program. Get points for every purchase. My Ebates toolbar also shows a 4% cashback for purchases made at Ace Hardware online.
Ulta brow arch,. If you have an Ulta’s with a Benefit’s brow bar this is a great deal. Visit their Facebook page and you can send this offer to your friends on their birthdays. I think this was a wonderful idea.
iTunes birthday cards App for iPhone.
Download free birthday Apps for Android
Zedge, free happy birthday ringtones
Hip Fusion, From DealSeekingMom, “Hip Fusion Designs has a new birthday club. Simply email your name and your birthday to Neida to sign up for her monthly newsletter, and she’ll send you a coupon for $25 off plus a free pair of Sweet & Sassy earrings during the month of your birthday, good on all Hip Fusion Designs purchases of $40 or more. Happy Birthday!”
American Greetings, free birthday ecards.
Printable-greeting, offers free printable cards and invitations.
Celebrate Express, keepsake scroll for baby 7X9. (you have to pay shipping) I also noticed from my Ebates toolbar that there is a 7.5% cash-back for any additional purchase if you use Ebates. Also, priceblink has a 15% off savings. So you could pick out something, save 15% and receive a check for 7.5% of your total sent back to you. Not bad for a days shopping.
Free downloadable birthday reminder (pocketPC)
TZ Naturals, offers a choice of sugar scrub, incense etc. for your birthday month. You do have to pay shipping.
Disney free blu-ray for your birthday plus lots of other freebies for signing up.
These 3 sites have oodles of birthday freebies that people have added to for years. If you’re serious about stocking up on birthday freebies you might want to check them out.
